KCPA has had a good 2018 thanks to the efforts of your Board. The monthly MCLE programs have been interesting and enlightening. We were able to bless several families with a Thanksgiving meal thanks to the generosity of our members.
My one regret is that we were unable to hold the annual KCBA/KCPA Holiday Luncheon in December. It is my hope that the Kern County Bar Association will choose to host this event next year with the assistance of our organization. For the last several years, the Holiday Luncheon has provided a monetary benefit the Kern County Bar Association Charitable Foundation and Christmas for Seniors of Kern County, as well as providing many toys to the Jamison Center. I’m quite certain that these worthy organizations would appreciate your contributions and donations if you in a position to do so.
We will host our first MCLE Luncheon in 2019 on January 10th with a speaker that is a new sustaining member of KCPA, Scott Harper, who will teach on mediation strategies. I am still looking for a speaker for February. Please contact me at email@example.com if you or someone you know would be interested in presenting.
I hope you all have a wonderful December, enjoy Christmas and New Year’s, and have many blessings in 2019.
